Southern Missouri Women Lawyers Announce Officers and Board Members

The recently organized Southern Missouri Women Lawyers elected its first slate of officers. Patty Shilling, founding member, of Ozark, MO will serve as the organization's first President. Other officers elected: Vice President Deanna Scott, director of litigation, Legal Services of Southern Missouri; Secretary/Treasurer Lara Fors, director, Springfield Regional Prosecutors' Child Support Office.
Serving on the Board of Directors with the officers will be Greene County Probate Commissioner Carol Aiken; Debbie Dodge, shareholder of Hall Ansley; Andrea Long, managing attorney with Legal Services of Southern Missouri; and The Honorable Nancy Rahmeyer, Missouri Court of Appeals.
The Southern Missouri Women Lawyers were organized to promote women within the legal profession; provide mentorship to women lawyers; provide women lawyer's a forum for the exchange of ideas; promote equality of women within society and the legal profession; engage in efforts to eliminate bias against women; support philanthropic efforts that address the plight of women and children; to facilitate the involvement of women in positions of leadership within local, state and national bar associations; and, to facilitate the involvement of women in government and community.
